SPIRITUAL PERFECTION Perfection: the state or quality of being perfect. Perfect: exactly fitting the need in a certain situation or for a certain purpose Once again we have entered in a new month (7th) where God is trying to show us something and this month (July) is no different. In Hebrew, the number 7 is the word “shevah”. It is from the root word “savah”, which means to be full or satisfied, or have enough of. Hence the meaning of the word "seven" is dominated by this root, for it was the seventh day God rested from the work of Creation. It was full and complete, and good and perfect. Nothing could be added to it or taken from it without marring it. Hence the word “Shavath”, which means to cease, desist, rest, and “Shabbath”, Sabbath, which is a day of rest. It is the number 7 that stamps with perfection and completeness that in connection with which it is used. Of time, it tells of the Sabbath, and marks off the week of seven days, which is universal in its observance among all nations. It tells of the eternal Sabbath-keeping which remains for God’s people in all its everlasting perfection. What does all this mean to the children of God? You see, striving for perfection doesn’t mean that all is grand. The perfection that God is looking for in you is for you to fit into a situation for which He has purposed you. There are many needs in this earth and He chose you, so you must surrender yourself to Him and allow Him to use you for that purpose. So, stop asking God, why? Why me? Why this? Why that? He’s given you all that you need to fulfill your purpose. So, you have to recognize the fullness within you and be satisfied in the fact that you’re a vessel. I say all of this to get to this point; this is God’s month of perfecting things in this earth for His chosen people. He said that you will fill the gap, but in order to do so, you must allow Him to work in you by relinquishing your will so that His can be done. Will you let Him?
