***SPONSOR of the day*** (2.99) Beck and Bo is a wonderfully executed app. The illustrations are like an old timey felt board where you need to place the pieces to complete a story. In a variety of 12 different scenes, objects fall down from the top of the screen and await your placement. I like how you learn about the proper order of things and where they need to go....i.e. the sun, moon, and clouds go in the sky, and everything that is grounded goes to where they need to be. This is great for kids that are more self directed in play to learn about the order and rules about their everyday world i.e. Beck and Bo will not just jump on a trampoline because you say so, but because you help guide them in a bounce. There is no wrong or right and so learning is in a stress free setting and depends on noticing the environment and how the pieces interact. If a scene is finished, you have access to the vocabulary of the objects in that scene. I would love to have access to these words first (before creating a scene) to habituate a child into what is not only expected in constructing that particular scene, but to rehearse a particular category and to sort its objects. I would highly recommend this app, as play value can be extended depending on what you are working on....sorting and categories, target and dragging objects on an iPad, or learning how things are perceived and used in their environments - a step up from cause and effect. - Jo bit.ly/1hIVqSt
