SR City Elections: Ballots have been mailed out. I just wanted to remind people to vote for Chris Coursey, Curtis Byrd and Lee Pierce for Santa Rosa City Council. Each of these candidates supports amendments to Measure O funding formula, a Living Wage for employees doing business with the city, sustainable growth, and some form of accountability for police and community policing standards. Just a couple of quick points about their opponents: Ashle Crocker has ZERO understanding of the historical development of the City and its issues, or the interests of the people, and is an inexperienced lackey installed by status quo interests. Tom Schwedhelm, former SRPD Chief of Police is steadfastly opposed to changing Measure O, supports militarized police, wants no community policing program or oversight of police, oh, and hes a registered Republican and another lackey of the status quo. He also appears to be involved with violating campaign laws. John Sawyer is, well... John Sawyer. He long ago demonstrated his inability as a councilperson, to listen to the constituents of the city, and has made himself irrelevant to the interests of the people - also a status quo lackey.
