STAY SAFE , SAIL ON, FARE WELL … I have been saving this until after the wedding excitement had died down… After much consideration it is time to hang up my life at Sea … The last 4 years have offered many incredible adventures. Some of my Ship experiences were eye opening... many of them the opportunities of a life time.. Some of them pure hell. It would be classless to consume words on the negative aspects of why I chose to resign and a complete waste of energy. I have never been afraid of moving my life in a different direction when the time came and anyone who knows me knows I have lived by the motto: Risk Nothing… Gain Nothing… … Once again that time has come. Ahead of me I have my beautiful wife Winnie Hung and our commitment to inspire each other. Together we can now focus attentions on new adventures, new thoughts and new experiences.. FOR OUR GUESTS: Thank you for the honor of being your Cruise Director (CD) these last few years. I hope that in some meaningful way I contributed to your life memories… The greatest complement I received from so many of you has been: He is a sincere man… This is the greatest of all compliments and I would do well to have that as a legacy. TO MY COLLEAGUES: What we do at Sea is one of the most challenging lives anyone can undertake. Long, difficult days for months on end, 7 days a week with few personal freedoms, spent far from those we love... punctuated by the most desirable and exotic sights and experiences on earth… what a contrast. It is seductive and addictive, consuming and exhausting… The real compensation in accepting all of those challenges is each other. You (my multinational friends) have given me the world. Thank you for your support and friendships.. I will treasure them… From more than 50 different nations and cultures you have taught me to be a true Global Citizen… Thank you. I hope that you will be able to say: He was a kind man, a good officer and an okay CD … In that order. Stay safe… keep the faith.. hold up and support one another.. who knows… maybe we will see each other somewhere around the world… You have my deepest respect. oxoxoxo Risk Nothing... Gain Nothing
