STEM- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. (I like to add Art and call it STEAM but that is another story). Our country is falling behind big time in these fields. 50 years ago we were the worlds leaders, but a lot of countries caught up to us in that time, and were about to be lapped. This is a train in Japan that goes 311 mph. It could take you from San Francisco to New York in 9 hours, a U.S. passenger train would take 50 hours. (flying takes you ~7) There are a lot of areas where we still lead, but other countries are catching up even faster. China has landed a probe on the Moon, India has a orbiter around Mars, Japan is launching to collect and return samples from an Asteroid in two weeks, and currently the only way to get U.S. astronauts to the ISS is with a Russian spacecraft. https://youtube/watch?v=2MsjvsAX-Og
