STEPHEN ODURO SET FOR EMOTIONAL RETURN TO ASANTE KOTOKO. Asante Kotoko fan favorite Stephen Oduro is set to make an emotional return to the club. Oduro, who has been out of the first team reckoning for over a year, met with the club’s interim boss, Opoku Nti yesterday regarding a comeback to the team. According to Footy-ghana, talks went very well, but Oduro’s comeback will depend on whether the club’s head coach, Mas-Ud Dramani will consider him able to help the Kotoko squad next season. Oduro joined Asante Kotoko from Real Tamale United in 2000 for a then record transfer fee of GH¢9000 (¢90 million) and he was a key player as Asante Kotoko reached the African Cup Winners Cup final in 2002 and the Confederations Cup final two years later.
