STEPPING STONE/ROCK NOT STUMBLING BLOCK. 👉Galatians 5:13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 👈 God has called us all to a life of freedom so we do not get tripped up in the works of the flesh and schemes of the enemy. WE ARE OUR BROTHER’S/SISTER’S KEEPER and have a responsibility to LOVE THEM MORE THAN WE LOVE OURSELVES. Family, WE HAVE TO BE MINDFUL OF EACH OTHER’S WEAKNESSES AND GROWTH. Read the word of God as translated in 👉1 Corinthians 8:10-13 The Message (MSG) For instance, say you flaunt your freedom by going to a banquet thrown in honor of idols, where the main course is meat sacrificed to idols. Isn’t there great danger if someone still struggling over this issue, someone who looks up to you as knowledgeable and mature, sees you go into that banquet? The danger is that he will become terribly confused—maybe even to the point of getting mixed up himself in what his conscience tells him is wrong. Christ gave up his life for that person. Wouldn’t you at least be willing to give up going to dinner for him—because, as you say, it doesn’t really make any difference? But it does make a difference if you hurt your friend terribly, risking his eternal ruin! When you hurt your friend, you hurt Christ. A free meal here and there isn’t worth it at the cost of even one of these “weak ones.” So, never go to these idol-tainted meals if there’s any chance it will trip up one of your brothers or sisters. 👈 1 Corinthians 8:10-13 tells us that we need to watch our actions, to not expose our brethren in environments, conversations or situations that could be detrimental to their walk in Christ or their common good. God tells us that there are consequences for putting stumbling blocks in the way of those who are still growing in Christ. 👉Matthew 18:5-7 “And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me. But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea. “What sorrow awaits the world, because it tempts people to sin. Temptations are inevitable, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting.👈 WE TRULY HAVE TO BE MINDFUL HOW WE LIVE OUR LIVES NOT FOR OUR OWN BENEFIT BUT FOR THE BENEFIT OF OTHERS. We know that we have to build on the sure foundation (Jesus) and Jesus said upon this ROCK, I will build my church (not BLOCKS), and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. SO FAMILY, WE NEED TO ROCK, NOT BLOCK. Agape love to you all.
