STILL being bombarded by people wanting to know if their town or city is included in the Red Flag Warning. I guess comprehension is the hard part. If you live ANYWHERE.....and I do mean ANYWHERE in Southern Oregon and Northern California, you are under a Red Flag Warning through Tuesday night. I do not care where you live. Mountains, cities in the valleys, at the Coast....EVERYBODY is under the warning. Some of you are seeing fire zones in alert messages on your wireless devices through apps. Again...does not matter. If you live in Southern Oregon or Northern California you are in the warning area and dry lightning is expected. It is already occurring in some areas. Further, I posted messages about people in rural areas needing to be prepared if a fire approaches them. Lightning does not care if you are in a city or in the hills. It will strike anywhere. While the threat is highest for the rural areas and cities like Ashland, Jacksonville, Gold Hill, Rogue River...and many more, a dry lightning strike on the Greenway in downtown Medford could get a good fire ripping in just seconds. If winds are hitting the fire you could see a wall of flame racing through there. That has happened before...it will happen again. It could happen in the next three days due to a lightning strke. I am telling you all that the threat for storms covers the entire area. They are going to happen. The exact where and at what times will be dictated to us. There is no way to know that right now. Just be watchful, and be ready. I have tried to give you all the forewarning and advice on what to do that I can. It is out of my hands now.
