STOP MAKING NOISE! START MAKING SENSE! This has been an issue for me for quite some time now. If each of us could be a giant (bigger than KING KONG) for a week and overlook the community from way up high looking down at all of us as little people running around our community, what would we see? Are many of us are just existing, no productivity, no goals, no purpose or no vision for the future? Most of us are on earth criticizing, denigrating, hating, coveting, hurting, casting and aspersions on others for no apparent reason. Are we just coming from a nasty, evil place in our minds? Screwed up and don’t even know it? What is causing us to see others striving for excellence, thriving mentally, changing the world, giving their best and being civic minded but yet we choose to bash them? How can we wake up every day not being THANKFUL and GRATEFUL to God Almighty for all the blessings which HE bestows on us? Why are we not worshipping HIM, in spirit and in truth? We look at an ICON such as OPRAH who financially remunerates 283 staff members bi-weekly, (not to mention her philanthropic work on the planet) but we who do nothing choose to criticize her? This is the only example to which I am choosing to refer. Every morning that we awake, we should find our way into our bathroom, look in the mirror with the intention to looking into our soul and ask what positive thing or word can I share today with the persons with whom I come in contact? Look into our own eyes for a minute and see if we like what we see. Then thank the Lord for HIS grace and mercy toward us. When we repeat the Lord’s Prayer, the part that says, “…forgive us AS we forgive those who trespass against us.” Do we really mean this? IF God were to be like us, we would never be forgiven at all. We don’t easily forgive. We need to set daily, weekly, monthly, annual goals on paper and work toward them. If we don’t accomplish them all, we would have achieved some with structure. “Reach for the moon so you at least fall among the stars.” Let us all work to be better human beings. Let us all be of purpose. This is not a quote. This is from yours truly, Dave Ray
