To citycouncil@fergusoncity Today at 9:18 AM Given the police actions of gassing CNN News crews, and firing rubber bullets at them, as a result of excessiveforce being used in your city by an apparent rogue police department, in regards to the death of a teenager under questionable circumstances, I am contacting the Department of Justice and asking for a full investigation of your department. If the City council cannot control their own police things are out of control. I would urge you to conduct a full investigation of the death of Michael Brown and be aware that there people trying to change the evidence in this case. If anyone tries to hide or conceal evidence they should be prosecuted by the law. As so often happens, police sometimes hunker down and try to protect their own, even when their own have committed a criminal offense. This cannot be tolerated and the city itself should demand an FBI investigation......failure to do so suggests an impropriety and complicity in a questionable shooting and apparent excessive force against the people of Ferguson and the media. I am also requesting that the Justice Department investigate charges that Ferguson Police violated the First Amendment rights of the media in the reporting of this case. You have neglected your responsibilities as public servants by not speaking out on the name of the officer involved and now his name is on the internet. You have thereby surrendered the concern to protect the officer by allowing individuals that can hack into any website to reveal that name. Shame on you! The whole world is watching!
