STORM TREE DEBRIS DISPOSAL UPDATE City of Jenks residents who may have experienced tree damage from the storm on Sunday, June 16th have the following disposal options available: 1 – City of Jenks crews will pick up tree debris at the curb from Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28. To allow for efficient collection of this debris, all materials must be no longer than 6-feet in length. Only tree debris will be collected. 2- Residents may drop off tree limb debris at Park West (west Main at Koa Street) in a gravel area west of the baseball fields. The disposal site will be open to Jenks residents only from Wednesday, June 19th through Sunday, June 30th. Proof of residency will be required by a drivers license or copy of a utility bill with a Jenks address. Both these services will be provided to residents free of charge. MOSQUITO ABATEMENT In the interest of public health, the Tulsa County Health Department conducts mosquito spraying within the City of Jenks. Requests for spraying are to be made by calling the Mosquito Hotline (918.595.4219). The City of Jenks uses larvicides in briquettes to treat ponds or areas of standing water in order to reduce mosquito breeding. Residents are encouraged to assist in the mosquito abatement process by emptying breeding sites on private property. Wearing mosquito repellent also is advisable during the mosquito season.
