STRENGTH FOR TODAY (POSSESS YOUR POSSESSION) When God was dealing with the children of Israel, He kept telling them to go in and possess the land which He promised them. In the book of Joshua, He kept encouraging Joshua to be strong and of good courage, not to be afraid, but to go in boldly and take what was rightfully theirs. Joshua believed God and was able to lead them to possess the land. As God’s children we still need to obey that same word that was given to Joshua in Josh 1:6-11. We need to go and possess the healing and health, the prosperity and abundance, the protection and deliverance, the peace of mind and every thing that God promised us. You cannot possess by sitting down and crossing your leg, but you possess by getting hold of God’s word, believing it and claiming what is rightfilly yours with the tenacity of a dog fighting for a bone. The devil does not want you to enjoy God’s blessings which is why you will need to fight for it. As you go in the strength of the Lord and fight for what is yours God Himself will back you up with His power and you will find yourself walking in victory. Josh 1:6-11. Be strong and of a good courage for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. Only be thou strong and very courageous that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage be not afraid neither be thou dismayed for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying Pass through the host, and command the people, saying Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it. Confession: The Lord God Almighty is with me. He is also for me therefore, nobody and nothing can be against me.
