SUBHANALLAH!!! Experienced the supreme power of DUA today!!! And each of you has helped make this happen with your sincere love and concern. I was on the mimbar and updating everyone on the fact that the surgery for January 6th has been cancelled--and that we need strong prayers so that the surgeon reconsiders his decision when we meet with him on Monday--and suddenly my sister stood up and walked up to the mimbar and interrupted me. Right there in front of everyone she held up her phone and showed me the text that had instantly appeared on her cell phone: The hospital had called to say that the surgeon himself had suddenly reconsidered his decision and that he was ready to go through with the surgery after all!!! The new date for the surgery is now January 13 at 1:15 pm Toronto time. Allahu Akbar!!! Dua is truly the weapon of the believers!!! All of you have made this happen overnight with your sincere beseeching to Allah swt. I am truly amazed to see, as I scroll down my newsfeed, how many of you are sending out tweets, posting on fb, having announcements made at the mosque and sending out emails independently to ask all to pray for my dear mom, Shirin SS Habib Jaffer. Am so touched to see that fellow Zakireen, scholars and lecturers have also asked all to pray for my mother--I didnt even know this until their tweets were forwarded to me by others. Mashallah so many from Medina, Qum, Najaf, Medina and Kerbala have written to say that they are praying at the shrines. There are no words to thank you all. You all truly have a heart of Gold mashallah!!! Mummy is in great spirits and was so dressed up at the majlis this morning Over 100 ladies attended and did duas for her shifa. Everyone arrived expecting to see her crying and looking worried but there she was joking and greeting everyone with her witty remarks. She wore a beautiful, fancy saree and jewellery and when people complimented her she said, I figured if it is going to be the last time you see me, then you better remember me like this LOL mummy The picture you see here is of last week when we first went to meet the surgeon, Dr. Yang. He sure was amazed to see mom with all her 5 children and their spouses at the appointment. He explained everything in detail and answered all of our questions patiently. Then mom presented him with a Christmas gift basket which really was a pleasant surprise for him. He was smiling ear to ear and mom said to him, See how nice I am. You are cutting off my body part and instead of being angry with you, I am giving you a gift. He really laughed out loud over this and said,Mrs Jaffer please dont be angry. I am so sorry I have to do this. I wish I didnt have to. And we all told him that we would be praying during the surgery that Allah swt Guides his hands and helps him to cure our mother through him. Ameen
