SUNDAY 9 BALL : MARKO IS CHAMPION. Congratulations go to Marko Reiyers (A+3) from The Netherlands for winning our Sunday 9 Ball Competition last night. From a massive entry of 43 players from 18 different countries, he defeated Tom Fossum (A+8) from Norway in the final, 4-7 in racks (race 4-9), to collect the 1st prize of 7500 baht. Tom led the final by 6 racks to 1 and looked on course for victory, but Marko had other ideas and won 3 of the next 4 racks to seal the win. Consolation for Tom was receiving 3500 baht for 2nd place. Tommy John Lovas (A+6) from Switzerland and Nittha Punsuk (B) from Thailand, both reached the semi-finals and took home 2000 baht. Tommys handicap is now increased to A+7. The other money winners were Tom Zimmermann (A+7) from Switzerland, Jimmy Mole (A+4) and Micky Girling (A), both from England, and Hannu Torpstrom (A) from Finland, who each collected 1000 baht as losing quarter-finalists. 1 RACK SHOOT-OUT : GORDON WINS AGAIN. 26 players also entered the Shoot-Out, which was won by Gordon MacLellan (A+4) from Canada. Having won the Shoot-Out on Thursday, he retained his title by beating Tommy John Lovas (A+6) in the final to recieve the Winners prize of 2600 baht, with Tommy collecting 1400 baht as Runner-Up. The other money winners were Rick Jones (A+5) from The USA and Albert Gringhuis (A+) from The Netherlands, who each received 600 baht for reaching the semi-finals.
