SUPER! URGENTLY!!! LOOKING FOR 2 ITALIANS!!!!!!!!!!! Youth NGO Iskra is looking for 2 Italians participants for the international youth exchange "Rural Youth for Gender Equality". The youth exchange will take place on 21-29 September, 2013 in Busk, Lviv region. It will will bring together 30 youth workers and volunteers of youth organizations from 6 EU countries and from Eastern Europe and Caucasus. During 7 activity days, participants will have an opportunity to share gender realities in their countries, discuss gender-related issues faced by youth workers and youngsters in rural areas, learn more about the opportunities offered by Youth in Action Programme, and jointly develop tools for planning, implementation and evaluation of non-formal learning activities that respect gender equality both in the host town and in their home communities. Objectives: - To promote young people’s active European citizenship by developing respect for equality between men and women - To bring together young people from Programme and EECA countries to exchange traditions, experiences and real life examples of gender situation and roles in their countries - To increase the awareness of gender issues in youth work, especially in rural areas, where young people have fewer opportunities and are more marginalized - To develop competencies based on gender conscious approaches to be used in non-formal learning activities in participants’ home countries. - To stimulate participants’ creativity and initiatives in order to develop innovative tools to promote gender equality in the activities implemented by the youth organizations in their home countries. The profile of the participants: - young people (male), aged 18-25 - active in social/volunteer/public life in his community - interested in gender issues, volunteering, learning more about other cultures - open-minded and eager to make new friends The participants will be reimbursed 70% of the travel costs. Cost of accommodation, food and all the excursions and trips planned as a part of the youth exchange will be covered fully by the organizers.
