SYSTEMONE UPDATE TOP 4 POSSIBLE REASONS WHY YOU HAVE INCOMPLETE SLOTS 1. There simply isnt enough slots. The demands for some courses reach about 1500 yet the unit offering the course can only supply 600 as restricted by their own resources (classrooms, faculty, etc.). 2. You are towards the end of the priority list. The OUR is imposing a priority scheme. First priority is New Freshman, of course. Some sections are actually already filled in by New Freshmen even before the slots were distributed to continuing students. Second is Graduating students. The idea is to give them what they need so they can end their stay in the University hence they are no longer your competition in the succeeding semesters. Third is continuing students with Good standing, followed by students who failed up to about 25% of their courses the previous semester, then by students who failed up to about 50%, and finally those who dont qualify to the aforementioned categories. 3. You did not accomplish your plan of study (or you did but failed to submit it on or before the set deadline). The OUR attempts to give you the slots you need based on the courses specified in your plan of study. Simply put, if a course is not found in your plan of study, the OUR cannot give you a slot for it. 4. The OCS or the OUR failed to encode (or erroneously encoded) the courses in your Plan of Study.
