Sachin Tendulkar !! Well Played !! What an Innings !! 24 Years !! Bharat Ratna..desrves you !! A lovely speech to bid a fabulous farewell. I am sure a lot of celebrities have and will keep writing about you. However, I am about to pen in a different string here for some Critics or Can I call them Sadists. So this is to those sadists who thought Sachin Sachin was hyped. 1. Most of us at and above 40 are still wondering how and when can we be achievers ever in the fields we have chosen. What would we give up just to get 0.01% of the fame and adulation Sachin received. And here is a legend who started at 16 and retires at 40 with a Nation saluting him. A billion Indian fans and a lot more worldwide thanking him. In one voice that a country of a billion has heard for the first time. A Chant that unites people across the religions and states. A simple chant that says SACHIN SACHIN !! To this living legend, I take a Bow !! As do millions of us. So, to those Sadists, who felt it was hyped…Go take a walk. Achieve 0.01% of the legends feats even before you express your sadist opinions. Sachin Sachin must reverberate in your ears, for a lifetime, till you achieve something. 2. In this moment of farewell, adios and goodbye, I met a person today who has personal vendetta against Sachin and he spoke with venom. His grouse was that Sachin did not pay Import Duty on his gifted Ferrari. Well, as a tax payer, if a part of it was my money as an Indian on the Import duty loss, then I am willing to pay it for a lifetime. And so are many millions of Indians with me I am sure. And that might mean we repay too little per head for all the inspiration, happiness and pride feeling at being an Indian that Sachin has brought to all of us. For 24 long years. To that Sadist, I am ashamed that you are an Indian too. You have been an acquaintance ( I have never considered you a friend ) and I know you have been jealous even with friends growth and happiness. You can never appreciate anyone. But Sachin is a legend and I am glad I shouted SACHIN SACHIN back at you and told you to buzz off…forever !! Its the least I could do for Sachin today. And I am so proud of the 30000 people at Wankhede Stadium and the millions of countrymen who chanted Sachin Sachin today at the top of their lungs. I am proud of the country that united in one voice to salute a rare living legend of our country, a precious diamond, a priceless heritage, a Bharat Ratna who has left memories imprinted on our minds and hearts…So this is my salute on behalf of my generation , Adios and Thank you to Sachin Tendulakar !!
