Sad State of Muslims There is a brother who was out and about, and saw what he thought was a fellow Muslim brother drinking a coke during Ramadan. To make sure, the first brother talked to him, and confirmed that yes, indeed, he is Muslim. When asked why he was not fasting, the brother replied: “It’s too hot." When asked “what about Judgement Day" the brother replied: “It’s not here yet." Ya Allah!!! What has become of our Ummah??? During the time of the Prophet, sal Allahu Alayhi wa Salam, he and the Sahabah would spend half the year preparing for Ramadan, and they were the best of people!!! Now, we are at a time when we are just about the WORST of people in Islam, we take no preparation for this blessed month, and then when a person is reminded of the enevitable, they brush it off casually because it’s not here “yet", like it is a Dr. appointment, or something not to be feared!!! We all have things we need to improve, and if we really look at ourselves, we can find that we are indeed horrible Muslims, especially compared to those who were before us. May Allah make us more conscious and fearful of Him. May He forgive us all of our sins and remember death and remember the Day we will stand before the Judge of all Judges. May He protect us from not only shaytan, but from ourselves. May He protect us from every becoming like this man and those with him. May He help us to soften our hearts towards people like this and allow us to make sincere dua’a for them. Aameen.
