Sad morning.....we lost the little armadillo. She came to us cold and dehydrated. She never did perk up the way she should. I was working with a long time armadillo rehabber out of Florida (via phone) and this one never once acted normal. Armadillos are sensitive to cold and the prolonged low body temp after her mo died made her sick so she was on antibiotics and on a heating pad the whole time, but she never roused from her stupor to eat very well at all. It was a losing battle, but anyone on this page for very long knows that I always try because you never know which ones will rally and survive and which ones will not. Shes back with her mom and 3 siblings now, running and playing across the bridge. Run free and far, baby girl.
