Sadness and despair in my heart The world is at war now, innocent people getting killed, some by extremists some by their govt. We have wars in Ukraine in Iraq in Libya and Gaza. We have hungry investors in defence infrastructure that benefit, we have extremist religious elements and every person in between caught up is this illogical hatred. War is easy to start and create but much harder to stop. The UN plays its part and does little to intervene to prevent and stop this terrible plight against innocent children, women and men caught up in this mess, yesterday 100 years past for the start of WW1 that ensured many people died, livelihoods destroyed and economies thrown into turmoil. Nearly 75 years have past from the start of WW2 (my grandfather died fighting Hitlers troops in Crete) and guess what same things happened, then Korea, Vietnam and too many to mention. When will we learn from our mistakes? Who profits from war?
