Salaams I would like to bring your attention to something very important. It is well established amongst the Ahle Sunnah that the symbol of the blessed Nal (Sandal) of the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wa Aalihi wassallam is one of great importance and one which brings immense baraka. Not only is the blessed Sandal of the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wa Aalihi wassallam a great source of blessings for the one who loves and honours it, but it is required and of utmost importance that the image or shape of the Nalayn be kept with the best of adab. The likes of the lofty Imam Yusuf Nabhani r.a stated: : I serve the image of the Sandal of The Prophet, in hope that i shall live under its protection in both worlds Other Scholars, such as the great Imam Ahmad Ridha Khan r.a said: If the Sandal of the Prophet were placed on my head, then i too would proclaim that i am a fully crowned king In short, we know that the blessed Sandal of the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wa Aalihi wassallam demands the highest and best of adab one can have; and it pains me to say this but in recent times, it seems that the image of the blessed Nal has become commercialised. We saw bags, wallets and key-rings with the Nal ash Shareef, which are extremely difficult to look after in respect of adab especially for the average person but now its sad to see that we have GYM Bags with the Nal stitched on top, wa la hawla wa la quwwatta illa billah. I do not need to really say more than this, as those who know, know. I urge all those who are in this business of making products and selling them and even those who purchase them to think long and hard about how they will manage to look after such things which are meant to increase our love for the noble Messenger salAllahu alayhi wa Aalihi wassallam and bring blessings, yet such objects like the Gym Bag do not befit that they should have the blessed Sandal on them; and may lead to other, then the showing of reverence to the blessed Nal of the Chosen One salAllahu alayhi wa Aalihi wassallam. and Tawfiq is from Allah, Al Rahman.
