Sally Field was honored with the 2,524th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Monday. Jane Fonda and Beau Bridges attended the ceremony in front of the Hollywood Wax Museum. Field’s career began 50 years ago, right out of high school, with a starring role on the TV series Gidget. She followed with another series, The Flying Nun, before shifting her career to the big screen. She won her first Academy Award in 1980 for her role as a union organizer in Norma Rae. Field scored her second Oscar five years later playing a Texas widow in Places in the Heart. The 67-year-old Field can currently be seen as Aunt May in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
