We have 2 children who are enrolled in the French Lycee in Clapham. We are a French/English family. The children are 9 and 7 years old. Both parents work. > > We are a 3 minute walk from the elt language school elt-online.co.uk/ > > > > We are seeking a responsible person who: > > * Has a reasonable understanding of English. > > * Is fluent in French ( spoken and written) > > * Is reliable, warm and fun with the children, enjoys children sport activities such as swimming and football and enjoys playing outdoors as well as indoors, has a sense of responsibility, is flexible and is interested in being part of the family as well as having an independent life. > > * Must not smoke, is interested in a healthy lifestyle and be able to cook healthy meals. > > *Has had some previous experience of childcare. > > *Has a good sense of humour. > > The role includes: > > * Speaking French to the children. A large amount of English is spoken at home and we need to balance this with more French. > > * Being in charge of collecting the children from school at 3.20pm and looking after them, until 6.30pm Monday to Wednesday and occasional other days. > > * Making the childrens packed lunch Monday-Wednesday > > * Household tasks include: weekly hovering and ironing. We have a cleaner for the main cleaning. > > * After school – Will involve helping the children with their schoolwork (grammar), organising play-dates, taking the children to activities, reading stories. > > * Babysitting twice a week. One night is generally Thursday the other is usually a weekend night. > > *Between 20 and 30 hours a week. This varies depending on work and life commitments! > > > > Accommodation: > > * Own large double ensuite bedroom on a separate floor to the children, quiet room with access to the garden.
