Salute to our Troops with AZPM’s Veteran’s Day Programs Throughout November, AZPM salutes the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces by offering rich programming to honor our country’s veterans. AZPM is especially proud to bring you Arizona Illustrated: Veteran’s Stories, airing Sunday, Nov. 9 at 6:30 p.m. It features several local stories, including Nuts and Bolts of the Boneyard, which explores the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration group, a one-of-a-kind specialized facility located on Davis-Monthan (DM) Air Force Base. DM gave AZPM unprecedented access for the show, allowing crews to film around the base and get a sense of the inner workings and daily life on an active military base. Veterans in the Vineyard follows a trio of Air Force Academy graduates who served their time flying fighters in war zones around the world, then came together to start Flying Leap Vineyards. Arizona Illustrated airs each Sunday at 6:30pm on PBS 6, with encore presentations throughout the week. In addition, AZPM brings you Navy SEALs: Their Untold Story, which recounts the ticking clock missions of the “Commandoes of the Deep” through firsthand accounts including that of a D-Day demolition team member and never-before-seen footage, home movies, and personal mementoes.
