Salvation Army still needs Help – The Salvation Army Disaster - TopicsExpress

Salvation Army still needs Help – The Salvation Army Disaster Response Team has been asked to coordinate food distribution this year of 1200 boxes for frozen food from 8am to 4pm on the 16th, 17th, and 18th of December. They will be at the old United Supermarket at 29th Dr and Marsha Sharp. They will be bringing a freezer truck with pallets of food to the store at 7:30am and unloading them. They’ll then open boxes and place designated items into boxes on an assembly line to be picked up by our clients w/volunteers who take the boxes to their cars. Moderate lifting will be involved and gloves will be provided. Anyone who can help for even a few hours is asked to do so. ALSO – They are requesting a loaned freezer truck, or they can rent one, for the 16th, 17th, and 18th to use to get the frozen food from Wilkerson Storage to the store and possibly stay running at the store and return unused frozen items back to Wilkersons for the next morning loading? They need to load the truck each morning by 7am and have it at the store by 7:30am so they can begin unloading into the store. If interested in helping with any of this call Dave Freriks at 806-765-9434 or email Dave at [email protected]
