Salvation I would love to own an abbey and about a hundred monks or so; singing voices optional but with good eyesight and a slow and steady hand required. I am so tired of stupid laptops and infernal memory sticks - even the smallest ones can hold the works of Shakespeare, Homer and King James and still have room for Stephen King and all the poems that I’ve written for you since my heart and loins ganged up on me again. It would help if some of my new monks were good at making bread and cheese, and beer of course but mostly I would need them to transcribe these poems that I write to you. So yes, I want an abbey and lots of scuttling monks to work all hours of their God-begotten days singing all the praises I’ll dictate to them and going blind with lust and weak with fear and hungry for the sweat and spit and sticky sheet salvation only you - and their most patient hands - can bring to me.
