Samir Nasri, Yaya Toures Manchester City teammate, has suggested that Toure would be viewed as one of the worlds leading players had he been born in Europe or South America - Sunday Times 20/04/14. Now, Toure is African and Black. He however agrees with with Nasri that Africans never get the recognition they deserve. Those who follow football will probably agree with Nasri. On being asked which player they would like to have back in the Barcelona camp, the fans of Barcelona voted Toure as that player. Unfortunately, African players have to play in Europe for endorsement and recognition. Even so, they are never validated to be better than their European counterparts. Until we build African football into a world superpower, we shall forever be at the mercy of Europeans. They will subject us to fight over 5 World Cup slots while they grab a lions share for their small continent.
