Sarah gave birth to our daughter. 8 lbs 1oz. 20 inches. Her name is Sunshine Sunny, Evelyn (From my grandmother), Pattison (Sarahs mothers maiden name) Daoust. Sunshine Evelyn Pattison Daoust. We are grateful that Sunny is a very healthy baby. We are blessed and thank God for this blessing. Sarah was in labor for over 22 hours. She had Mucous plug aka bloody show around 8pm Sunday (11-30). Around 01:30 am Sarah began to have issues w nausea and vomiting. Around that same time she started having contractions. At around 430am she woke me up and contractions were around 5 mins apart. She took a shower and I packed the car. We took off at around 5:45am. We got to the hospital around 6:30 am. They checked her cervix and she was dilated 4 centimeters. Contractions were painful. So she had a epidural. Labor went on the entire day. Sarah pushed (4) four amazing hours and Sunny came into the world at 11pm 12-01-14. As most of you know Sarah and I met late in life and neither one of us thought we would be having children. We knew we were lucky to find each other. We met w/ the help of her childhood best friend Hanna. Both of us thought for sure children were out of the question. I could not be on this Journey without Sarah. I have never been more affected by someones actions. My wife giving birth has truly been one of the most astonishing experiences of my life. We both agree that Sunshine is our blessing. We love you Sunny. We want to THANK everyone for the texts, emails, phone calls, cards, FB connections. Thank you and for those folks we have not contacted we will soon.
