Sat - Nov 30 - 9am-4pm - Fundraiser for the Superstition Mountain Museum - - 4087 N. Apache Trail - Apache Junction ..............call for more details - 480-983-4888 Prickly Pear and Mesquite Festival, a celebration of both of these life-giving desert plants, will be hosted by the Superstition Mountain Museum. Attendees will be introduced to the practical aspects of harvesting and preparing this bounty of the desert for their own personal use. A delicious Mesquite Pancake and Prickly Pear Syrup Breakfast by the staff of Fillys Roadhouse kick soff the days events. Breakfast will be cooked and served on the museum grounds between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. This event is a fundraiser for the museum and costs $10 per person. The festival is Free. People having mesquite pods ready for grinding can bring them to the festival and have them ground into flour for a small fee. Classes, demonstration, recipes, and available cookbooks for this bounty of the desert will be available.
