Saturday. July 12: I am again sorry for the late post but this is the first time I have sat down today. I am not going to make this a long post as I am going to make another post to SHOW you about today! I have wondered about continual praise. God says that he inhabits the praises of His people. I remember the night the sweet believer, Bintu, encouraged me with those words. We are a LONG way from that day and I look back and all I can do is Praise Him. He continues to bless and deliver and heal and daily show me that He is all powerful, that He is larger than the situation, and that HE is in control. I have learned to take the back seat and let Him drive. I am along for the ride as He unfolds this unbelievable story of my precious sons life. I can only praise Him. I will extol you my God, O King, And I will bless Your Name forever and ever. Every day I will bless you And I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised and His greatness is unsearchable. Psalms 145:1-3 Just briefly - we have seen God continue to heal and continue to bless Dane. First thing, Dane arises from a sound sleep and sits straight up and announces, AWESOME!!!! And so he proclaimed how the day would go. He is using his left hand and can with a lot of sweat and work force it into purposeful activity. Today he worked on core strength by walking on our knees. We walked a bit and worked on our left hand. Mom and Dad worked on him ourselves after therapy, stretching and getting his upper back and pelvis adjusted. (we are chiropractors) We spent some time wearing a patch on or eye to strengthen the other eye. His speech is improving greatly! He is reading everything he sees including big works!!! We did multiplication, a million sight words, and ATE every meal instead of using the g-tube! The biggest thing about today is that he was surprised by his sweet friends, Sondra Nored and Andee Shae who came to Dallas with some very special friends. Biscuit, Rudy, and Jessie came to Baylor Our Childrens Hospital to see their Dane today. We were surrounded by family and friends which made it all the more special. The pictures really speak for themselves. The Noreds pulled their trailer up in front of the hospital, we all went out and we unloaded those horses on the front sidewalk of the hospital. Dane for the first time since the accident SMILED!!!!! It was so precious to me and I am overjoyed for this answer to prayer. Dane was able to hold his dog, hug and kiss his horses, brush his horses and look on them as he did every day before the accident. He was sooooooo happy!!! I could see the excitement and just how much he did miss his animals! We will never forget the effort that the Noreds was made to make Dane smile! An unforgettable day!! - As Dane said - AWESOME!!! Glory to God.....Sundays coming..... Pics to follow
