Saturdays Update - Not long home from Nyora south Gippsland herding trial run by the Australian Shepherd Club of Vic. Thankyou to the club, a fantastic Trial and I also got to do some scribing for one of the judges. Was very interesting to watch the Cattle and the ducks. Today was the first trial for Navi (T Ch Brafferton Night Navigator PT) owned by Esther Smedley and my Shadow (T CH Brafferton Followed Bya Shadow RN PT). Extremely pleased with both dogs today and Esther and myself. In the Am Trial Navi scored 92/100 with a pass and Shadow scored 71/100 with a pass. A number of handler errors on my behalf that I tried to take on board and correct in the second run. In the Pm Trial Navi scored 77/100 and Shadow scored 91/100. Navi pipped her brother by one point and was awarded the Highest Collie in Trial Rosette kindly donated by the Collie club of Victoria. I love watching Navi work and her and Esther are a great team. Many Thanks to the Kate and Karen over the year for training, it is all coming to fruition now and to the judges Ms C Finaly and Kerry Webb received to good advise from all and some of the spectators too which we can take on board and try and improve on. I lovely and successful day but must say I am feeling really tired and rather Brain Fried at the moment. Early night as tomorrow heading across to Inverleigh for the Dogs Victoria State Tracking Trial with my son Glenn and Angel and Ranger. :)
