Savita Apte, alongside with 4 other prominent Singapore-based curators will be presenting their selections of past local exhibitions in Singapore at Yeo Workshop. The exhibition, Singapore: Curators Cut opens from 6 May - 23 May 2014. Savita Apte is a Director of Art Dubai, Chair of The Abraaj Group Art Prize, Associate of Serpentine Gallery for Indian Highway and an Art Historian specialising in Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art. She is a Director of Asal Partners and Platform Projects, Singapore, and sits on the advisory board of the Sovereign Art Foundation , Asia Art Archive and Para Site. Savita was a consultant expert at Sotheby’s from 1995 to 2001. She was invited to be a co-respondent to Daniel Birnbaum for the 53rd Venice Biennale (2009). She holds a Masters in Post War and Contemporary Art and recently submitted her doctoral thesis.
