Say Hello to the new Cervelo S5. 16 years of aero road bicycle development have made the S-series the benchmark aero road bike and this year Cervelo made some small but key improvements to make the best even better. They began with the front end and re-engineered the traditional handlebar. Their new aero bar is compatible with any standard stem and saves 4.4 watts on its own. Other improvements include stiffer headtube and fork structures, stiffer bottom bracket and a visibly wider downtube and improved materials and construction technique to bring the weight even further down.
