Say a prayer for the family that had their house burn on El Camino in Baton Rouge New Years Eve. This was the home of my neighbors daughter and her 5 children. 4 kids ages 9 to 16 and a young man who goes to college at Southern and is about 19 or 20. The grandma, Ida Robertson, lives across from me, uncle Dwayne around the corner. These are good, close knit, hardworking people and sweet children who do well in school. They have homeowners insurance. The kids were knocking on my door at 2 AM because they had had trouble unlocking the door at Idas who had gone to their house. They were cold and no one had shoes. I warmed them up and gave them hats and sweaters to wear. They will come out of this, but of course they were traumatized. The two youngest lost their birth father about 2 years ago when the recycling truck ran over him. They were talking about how his pictures got burned up as well as their holiday homework. So remember them in prayer.
