Saying Sorry I never understood that line from ‘Love Story’ that love means never having to say you’re sorry…I think it’s just the opposite…Take the president yesterday who thankfully acknowledged the crude insensitivity of not sending a high-level delegation to Paris for Sunday’s historic demonstration of solidarity with the victims of last week’s terror attacks in France. Upon reflection, the Obama Administration figured out they were wrong and apologized. Now it’s time for the Mayor of the City of New York to man up also to show that he is supportive of the cops who keep this city safe, and that he is sorry for his insensitive remarks that seemed to encourage anarchy in the streets while blaming cops for all that is wrong with New York. Although Former Police Commissioner Ray Kelly has been keeping a relatively low-profile since he was disgracefully treated by the incoming Di Blasio Administration last year, Kelly came out yesterday on his son Greg and Rosanna Scotto’s ‘Good Day New York’ show and called on the mayor to issue an apology for insensitive remarks that many cops construed as inciting protestors and maybe maniacs to perpetrate violence against cops. A little sorry goes a long way.
