Saying that we are superior to animals is just like saying that we are superior than our animal instinct, animal drive which is the core essence of being human, which preserve our basic life mechanisms, feeling superiority to animalistic part is the core of self hatredness, because when you compete with some prt of yourself, no matter who win unilaterally, you in a whole, always looses . Without loving your animal part, and comparing your other parts to that animal part, one cannot enter to realm of spirituality and mental well being.
