Scary ..and also not a paranoia of victimhood or physical annihilation one is marketing for speaking against "Maududism".. But this is the price one is paying for standing up for the rights and equal citizenship !!! Hashir K Muhamed: "Dear all, this is a story that I forgot to share with you. On the 17th of May, I planned to attend a programme on the Beemapalli police firing in Tirur conducted by SIO Malappuram. It was a rare public programme in Kerala organised to commemorate the second largest Police massacre in the history of our state. As I was busy with lot of organisational issues that day, I received a phone call from the Police special branch of Police enquiring about me. They asked me many questions as if I was creating problems in this part of world. They already had information about me and wanted to know more about my activities. I lied to them that I was not from Panakkad and told them I came from a different place. I thought, “Why should I help them with accurate information?”. What crossed my mind was that they should do their job without the help of others. They asked many questions some of which I can’t remember now, but I promised myself that next time I will try to become less nervous so that I remember their questions. I know that this is an everyday reality for many of us and that we don’t want to share it in public for many reasons. I don’t know, maybe, this is the price one needs to pay in Kerala to talk about Beemapalli Police firing. After all these days, I decided to share this experience rather than forget it."
