Scattered light rain and snow showers will continue this afternoon as a pair of cold fronts cross the region. A secondary cold front will move through this evening with much colder air behind it. Any rain and water will rapidly change to snow and ice this evening. Little or no snow accumulation is expected because precipitation will rapidly move away after the cold front passes. However, the wet streets and sidewalks will rapidly ice over tonight, creating slippery conditions. The new cold air mass will be with us for Sunday and Monday, with highs only around 20 with single digits at night.
