Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop and track across the Tennessee Valley into the overnight hours. Some thunderstorms could be strong with wind gusts 30-40mph. We are not expecting any severe weather as the cold front moves in. The rain will quickly end as the cold front sweeps across the Valley. Expect a northwest wind at 10-20mph behind the front. Temperatures will be running below normal Wednesday through Friday with afternoon highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s. It will remain mostly cloudy on Wednesday but sunshine will return for Thursday and Friday. Rain chances will be possible into the weekend but there is still a lot of uncertainty regarding how much rain and how strong the next storm system might be or if it will even have an impact on our weather in North Alabama and southern Tennessee. We will keep you up to date. Brad Travis Chief Meteorologist WAFF 48 Storm Team We Track Storms
