School Mum Naomi has asked: My son is in grade 1 and has found the transition from prep really difficult in terms of friendships. He is a fairly shy and quiet child who has such a kind caring nature. He is the kind of kid who tends to gravitate towards one friend rather than a group of friends which has always worried me a little. His one friend is now being very mean to him and his attempts to make new friends so far have not been successful :( All the kids seem to have their own tight knit little groups. Some of the groups of boys he is trying to join in with have started to bully him physically and verbally. I wonder where the teachers are? My heart breaks for him and he is so miserable. Im not sure what the best way to help him is? Thank you!
