Science makes the world a better place: from astronomy through to zoology. At STFC, we have a particular interest and responsibility in expanding the number of people studying and engaging with STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) at school, university and throughout life. Im very proud to say that as part of this work, I initiated our sponsorship of the national STEMNET Awards, offering the inspirational winners a visit to CERN.
