#Scotland may have voted NO on #Independence, but this presents big problems for the Westminster parties; even as David Cameron and others are talking about a new deal for the whole of the (still just about) United Kingdom, with words like ‘federalism’ and ‘direct local control’ being bandied about as if they were sweeties, the backbenchers and even government ministers in their parties are making statements that amount to flat refusals to permit such a deal. They are particularly opposed, it would seem, to the notion of giving any further autonomy. What happens if the United Kingdom doesnt deliver?
