Scotland will continue to experience poverty just like the northern cities of England as you have just described, and remember this, you will always have the Tories, one way or an other running Scotland , they always look after their own , yes the rich, masters of tax avoidance schemes, all to their benefit, indeed Cameron,s father , Maggie Thatcher to name a few, that,s a fact . Scotland has a wealth of real riches, and brains, and remember this, it is easier to run a small house than a large one, and yes we are one of the riches countries in the world. Now about our currency, the bank of England was founded, or should i say one of the founders was a Scotsman, William Paterson, in 1694, the Scots had their own currency prior to the act of union 1707 ,and its own banks from 1695, and yes it was called (Scots pound). Think of how many countries that had the pound as their currency, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, to name a few up until the sixties, all changed to their own currency and thrived. Another thing, I am a Labour supporter, independence is not about Cameron and the SNP, this is about our independence to govern our selves, making our choices, and if it does go wrong with a few things a long the way, as you describe, (tits up), then we the Scots, will fix it as soon as, we can match anyone in the world when it comes to brains, and initiative to get the result done, the English are not your superiors, get that out your heads their empire crumbled many years ago. Joe back in early 1970 when the oil industry started, there was corruption in Dundee as was highlighted in the papers and then the court case,it blighted the city , and it should have invested in the dock, and expanding its air field to compete in bringing the oil giants here, it done very little.so it went north. I posted this on Joe Hughes earlier.
