Screen Play Writing Workshop for Innovative Writers At IFA With the aim to produce good and innovative screen play writer for the film industry, Indigenous Film Archive (IFA) is pleased to announce the three months long Workshop on Screenplay (Script Writing) for Innovative Nepali writers and filmmakers from July-September, 2013. In the workshop, under the guidance of experts and mentors, participants will learn to translate the story from their perspective into script form. 15 days Regular session class on course of scriptwriting will be conducted from 30th June to 16th July, 2013 at time 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. During the course of regular session class tea and snack will be provided at once. If you have a story to tell and dream your story/script to be turned into a film, you should definitely join this workshop. Benefits: After the successful completion of the workshop, participants will be able to: • Internalize the writing process of screen play writing of film • write screen play of any kind of film genre • Avoid their writing errors in screen play • Perform technical writing comfortably of screen play • Could sale script written during the workshop • Certified after completion of script and given opportunity to pitch their own story/ screen play with Film Director and Producer Methodologies of Screen play writing workshop: • 15 days regular session class about fundamental knowledge of writing draft of screen play writing • After 15 days regular session, 10 times follow up session class (one time follow up per week) for the modification of screen play as per the participant favorable time • During the regular session and follow up session class, each participants will be educated on subject, idea, the way of writing script from synopsis and writing practice • After the completion of script, participants will be given opportunity to pitch their own story/ screen play with Film Director and Producer • Script will be get ready in approx 3 months Date: 30th June – End of September, 2013 (16 Asar to Ashoj, 2070) Time: 2 – 6 pm per day for 15 days Venue: IFA Hall, Anamnagar-32, Kathmandu (Opposite to Gurkha FM) Targeted Participants: Above +2 passed Students, fresh graduates, filmmakers, film enthusiastic and early career professionals Training Fee: Rs. 12,000 (15% off for Friends of IFA members and IFA Resource & Learning Centre members) Resource Persons/ Trainer: Anup Subedi Deadline of the Application: 27 June 2013 (13 Asar 2070) Seats limited so sign up with your story idea (in minimum 700 words) and CV before 4th July 2013 at Note: Among 12 participants of screen play writing workshop in last year, only 5 participants able to complete workshop and written script and among 5 scripts, two scripts was under the process of making film.
