Scripture: NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. - Hebrews 11:1 AMP. Meditate: This verse clearly spells out not only what real faith is made up of assurance of... hope for... and conviction of their reality, but also how one with such faith lives - perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses. Difference between Reality and Fiction: Reality may not make sense, but Fiction has to. Let me explain. Ever feel like your life is spinning all over the place, like one big roller coaster ride? Nothing new. Everyone has discovered many times that life does not always go to our plan. Life may not always seem to work out for the best. Life may not always – make sense. But honestly, how exciting would life be if everything went exactly the way you expected, every single time? Of course, once in a while it’s natural to dream that your life was like a character in a book or a movie. But there is a reason life appears perfect in movies; so people will pay to watch! It’s easy to make life work out perfectly in fiction, because it’s just a fantasy, but it’s harder for life to actually work out perfectly in reality. Dealing with the unexpected though makes you learn to trust and depend upon God, keeps you on your feet, and propels you to have confidence that even when things are looking bleak God can still make everything work out for your good. Stop trying to figure out why life doesn’t make sense, and start figuring out how to deal with it with Gods help. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, and God-provisions. Dont worry about missing out. Youll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Life not making sense eh...?
