Scrolling through my timehop app I came across this from three - TopicsExpress

Scrolling through my timehop app I came across this from three years ago. This is the day that changed my life forever. I was a makeup artist and beauty school instructor that had some students working on set as interns in the hair dept. I went to check in on them and was introduced to my idol, Ve Neill. Since I was local, we spent that afternoon shopping for supplies for the makeup dept, we had so much in common besides makeup and after about 6 hours with Ve, she offered me a job. Not once did she ask about my resume, my portfolio, anything. For all she knew I didnt know a thing about makeup, but she liked me and thought I was nice. Not only did she give me a job, but she gave me confidence. I was immediately thrown into the makeup dept along side of 30 veteran makeup artists, many of which had won awards in makeup. This was a whole new world for me. I looked at it as if I were in a makeup boot camp with some of the industrys top professionals. I looked, listened and learned anything and everything I could. I walked away from that experience a better makeup artist and a better person. Since then, Ive had worked primarily in television, commercials, print and web (e commerce). Ive hand the opportunity to work with some really cool people, companies, talent and celebrities. Ive been blessed with some amazing opportunities and steady work living in Charlotte, NC. In the end, Id rather be known, not for being the best makeup artist, but rather being a nice guy.
