Seattle News Net Ticker Feed 30 May 2075 (Sentry Box) >>>>>It has been a month since the last attacks claimed lives within the Tunnels that connect the Ork Underground. It is believed over three dozen disappeared before a Coalition of Concerned Citizens brought in a number of private investigation groups - some call them bounty hunters, some claim to be security specialists but on the streets and in the halls of power of the Corps they are known as Shadowrunners. Two such teams disappeared before we got a break. On the night of my first trideo piece, one group of these Shadowrunners were hired. They were attacked by surprise by the alleged serial killer. A crazed Troll clearly diseased and suffering for it casting magic twisted by his health issues. One runner was cut in half from shoulder to hip, dying after several brutal injuries. Two others were left near-mortally wounded in comas at an undisclosed clinic. The lone survivor of that team lead a second team into the Tunnels on the night of 29 April. This team of six I learned tonight encountered the same troll with some friends and while dealt with the Hell Hounds, the lone survivor barely clinging to life does not know what happened after he lost consciousness from his wounds. The Skraacha search party found evidence that may indicate but could not conclusively prove that several people died in near vicinity but due to the extensive damage, the truth will never be known. It is believed at least six people died in the battle that raged in those dark tunnels, two hell hounds and thousands of nuyen in gear lost in a battle for life that ended in death and trauma. No one knows if the Troll escaped and is now in hiding or if he actually died there in that toxic sludge of a tunnel. None of the other runners have surfaced and the attacks have not happened since that fateful night. The survivor recently woke, horribly, badly disfigured by the burns all across his body. Pain wracked his body and the events clearly have scarred his soul but as he starts the long road to recovery. He could not clear up events except to speak of legends and rumours. The ravings of a clearly traumatized mind. The two other survivors from the battle on April 28th though in better shape could not provide answers and one was clearly disturbed enough to speak of not continuing in his current form of employment but to return home. So after one month, the serial killer is presumed dead along with one runner known to have died and five others are presumed dead. We salute their sacrifice and hope this is the end to this brutal series of slayings. This is the Truth as I know it. For when no one else will dare bring you the truth, April ONeil will be there to deliver it. For unlike others I know you CAN handle the Truth!
