Second Street is complete trash. The store itself is fine. But the owner is a scumbag. Ive refrained from posting this once before but this time hes gone too far. Ive been a local here in Pompano Beach all my life and Ive had great experiences surfing here with minimal agro from other surfers. For the second time in a couple of months the owner of second street has yelled at my younger brother and even cursed him out for surfing by him in the lineup. Its insane, like the ocean isnt big enough and he needs to catch every single wave like his life depends on it. Reality check bro, youre a washed up kook who owns a surf shop who should be mentoring younger kids out there instead of making them not want to surf anymore. Not to mention youre about to be a father somehow. I suggest you grow up and stop treating your customers like garbage. Im never shopping in your store again and I hope that any local who surfs does the same. Surfing is a mellow sport that should promote sportsmanship and good vibes, not crushing kids dreams and harshing everyones time just because theyre not Kelly Slater status yet. Do the right thing and either retire from surfing or stop being selfish and share the waves like any other decent surfer would.
