Second attempt to post this so wont be as lively and humorous as the last post ha!! After Thurdays weigh in I had porridge with banana for brekkie than had already pre-arranged a lunch date at a chinese! Skipped starters and dessert and had chicken curry with boiled rice (after hearing that fried double the calories I always opt for boiled rice as rice is it tastes the same once sauce is mixed with it! Had a small dinner of stir fried chicken and veg with wholegrain noodles for dinner. Friday was a great day! Organised a night away with my friends of 25 years (as we realised that night; have been best friends since first year in secondary school!) so threw about 5 outfits, three pairs of heels and my gym bag into the boot of the car and headed to work! Porridge for brekkie, beef casserole for lunch and off I headed, to pick up Thelma (my twin sister Niamh!) and we laughed and giggled all the way to the hotel, not before stopping off for inroom provisions (pictured!) Spent the afternoon picking at chilli nuts and torilla chips with some Bulmers Light thrown in before we checked out the sauna and steam room and got ready for dinner. Ordered salad for starters (chilli nut guilt!) and steak for dinner. Skipped dessert for another Bulmers light (!) Woke at stupid oclock and we were all eating breakfast at 9am! Typical when theres no hisbands or kids there!! Me in my gym gear was adament that I was going for a run; the girls said theyd walk while I ran ahead, got outside and it was really frosty so walked together all the way to the entrance of the hotel grounds and into a bar. And it was 10.30am!!! We giddily had a sneaky pint and spent the hour laughing at stupid stuff; generally just appreciative to be where we were! Ger (the husband) gave me strict orders not to return home til after 6pm so I took it and ran! Went for a fabulous lazy lunch of beef noodles and chicken wings and some retail therapy! Finished the evening with a glass of wine and crisps...... Woke up this morning in the horrors. Have done feck all this week exercise wise and diet wise. Was really bold even though I said id be good! Had scrambled eggs with spinach for brekkie and brought the kids to an indoor play area (the stuff of nighmares for me esp at the weekends!) and headed to a gastro pub for dinner. The menu was limited and i ended up with a delicious chicken and muchroom pasta dish. Ifeel like a bit of a fraud now if Im honest. I enjoyed myself and wouldnt have changed this weekend because it was so much fun but im meant to be losing the couple of pounds and trying to inspire you guys to do the same. Thursdays weigh in wont be good. Advanced warning!!!! But please please carry on with yours. I need your inspiration too!
