Second week and final day of jury duty today...keeping in mind my butt area is still rebelling from my slip last Monday after my first day of civil duty! I spent 90 minutes on a beautifully constructed, wooden spectator bench in the court room while the judge and attorneys were selecting the most impartial jurors. Yup...there were many concerns from the state! So questions continued ... I squirmed... felt my butt go numb if I didnt move around ...and if selected I was going to have to splain my situation to the judge! Yes, Your Honor I can remain impartial to the defendant but if I have to sit for 3 days which is predicted you might need to prvide me with a donut...and I DONT mean the kind we eat! After jurors previously chosen were dismissed and more names pulled to replace them ... we were all set free as the other set of jurors in another room were selected for trial 2! God Bless America ... and ice and heat and Motrin and not having to sit on a wooden bench for 90 minutes again with an unhappy butt area! Seriously, it was an event worth experiencing...the judicial system...not the injury! :)
